NYC

NYC....The song in the musical Broadway hit , Annie, says it all.   The 'Big Apple' surely proved to be a fun place for us to celebrate a mini anniversary with our friends.  We may have mostly walked around, but, it was a lot of fun!  The weather was beautiful, the atmosphere was jumping, and the city was buzzing with excitement.  Times Square was a great time, and we stopped to get a bite to eat.  We almost took the famous duck tours, but Hunter was too little, and they wanted to split us up. We got to run around the amazing Toys R Us, and just enjoyed the sights.

The guys had to leave us early, and us brave ladies took the kids over by bus to Central Park.  We met a great lady with  a friendly parrot, saw the great lawn, a theater, and a castle.  There is more we want to see, but it will require a return trip and a full day, I am sure.  A regret is that we didn't have the money to truly wine and dine around NYC, 'and I have never yet seen a Broadway show.  Roze wants to be in Annie.   One day, we will see NYC in its full glory. It is  place I would happily go back to visit in a heartbeat. And we did , in May of 2010, with Amber and Autumn, and it took us all day to walk up and down Fifth Avenue.

Roze one day hopes to be a model and actress.  I have turned in both her and Hunter's photos to Whilemena and Ford, so we will see what happens...in the mean time, if you get to visit this wonderful city, say hello for us. This was the present that lifted me out of my depression- a trip to the city- and helped me smile again.
