Gerrardstown, WVa
A very small, unincorporated village with a lot of history around every turn, nestled in the wilds of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A breathtaking view!
It was quite interesting to find out that my 8th great-grandfather had been the first Pastor this side of the Blue Ridge, and his son laid out the town that bears his name. Further down the road, a place called INWOOD, used to also b e called Gerrard, but the name was changed so the town could establish a seperate post office. A little further down is the city of Martinsburg, WVA.
If you ever want to get into nature this is your chance. Gerrardstown sits a mere hour from Washington, DC. and many other large cities and points of interest.
